Equipment for electricity and heat production from biomass calculation and selection module

This module intended for co-generation plant based on steam turbine generator set parameters calculating.

Calculations can be done for 3 different pressure values at turbine inlet: 16 bar a, 25 bar a and 40 bar a.

To make calculations the following steps should be done:

  1. Select fuel type
  2. Indicate steam flow at steam turbine inlet
  3. Select steam temperature at steam turbine inlet (there are 3 temperature’s options for each pressure value)
  4. Select steam pressure at steam turbine outlet (0,33 bar a – secures network district water heat up to 69 ºС or 0,7 bar a – secures network district water heat up to 88 ºС)
  5. Indicate network district water temperatures at condenser inlet/outlet.
  6. Press «CALCULATE» button

Note: it is required to press «CALCULATE» button each time after new values were indicated, after that calculations renew.

After press «CALCULATE» button the following characteristic will be calculated: fuel consumption, boiler’s thermal capacity, turbine generator set’s electrical capacity, condenser’s thermal capacity, network district water flow.

This module intended for preliminary co-generation plant based on steam turbine generator set parameters calculating and calculated by this module characteristics can differ from realistic manufacturer’s components parameters. Accuracy of the steam turbine generator set, condenser’s and network district water flow’s parameters calculations is ± 2 %.
