DECS-300

The DECS-300 Digital Excitation Control System is a microprocessorbased device intended for generator power management. This device provides control signals for phase control of SCR bridges manufactured by Basler Electric. Indicators convenient for reading on light-emitting diodes give out the timely information on concrete operating conditions. On the forward panel the big display on the liquid crystals, displaying in a mode of real time the measured details, a condition of operating bodies and inputs/exits is located.

The functional description

Device DECS-300 is a digital regulator which operates the card of excitation intended for management by the bridge of capacity transistor (IGBT) or thyristor type. It is intended for use in devices of excitation of static type or on rotating diodes. The bridge defines level of excitation of system. Device DECS-300 works in various modes that gives the big possibilities for management of synchronous cars.

The DECS-300 regulates the generator RMS voltage to within 0.25% from no-load to full-load. It does this by utilizing digital signal processing and precise regulation algorithms developed by Basler Electric, utilizing the experience gained in many years of manufacturing tens of thousands of digital voltage regulators.
