JSC “GANDRAS ENERGOEFEKTAS” offer waste water treatment plants with rotary biodisks are intended for treatment of sink waste water also in places with higher requirements for the quality of drain from the WWTP, especially as to the nitrogen and phosphorus content (in accordance with EU requirements).

Water treatment plants with rotary biodisks
Operation principle
Waste water enters the sedimentation zone where coarse impurities are trapped and anaerobic-stabilized. From there, the waste water is pumped by an elevator pump into the activation part with rotary biodisk.
Waste water is treated by the biomass attached to the biodisk as well as by the biomass from suspension.
From the activation part, the mixture of waste water and activated sludge flows into the final sedimentation area where separation of water and activated sludge take place.
Separated water flows into the discharge trough through the overflow edge, activated sludge from the lower part of the final sedimentation area drifts back to the activation area.
Excess activated sludge and part of the waste water return to the sedimentation area by means of a float valve. This provides for recirculation as well as desludging of the plant’s final sedimentation part.
