"Gandras" has implemented an energy consumption management system

After evaluating the market situation, UAB "Gandras energoefektas" determined that in order to increase competitiveness, sales and export volumes, it is necessary to ensure more efficient energy consumption. For this purpose, it was necessary to implement an energy consumption management system. The implementation of the system allows to reduce energy costs, negative impact on the environment and confirms that the company's production is developed in accordance with principles that are less harmful to the environment.

The main problems that are aimed to be solved by the implementation of the energy management system are the negative impact on the environment, high energy costs, the uncertainty of the energy management policy within the company, insufficient awareness of the possibilities and necessity of energy management, an uncertain energy consumption measurement plan and unused energy saving opportunities.

UAB "Gandras Energoefektas" in 2014 in May, the project "Increasing the competitiveness of UAB "Gandras Energoefektas" by implementing an energy consumption management system" is completed, which is partially financed by the Republic of Lithuania and the European Regional Development Fund.

The goal of the project is the implementation and certification of the energy consumption management system in order to increase the company's exports. The project's activities include the implementation and certification of the energy use management system ISO 50001, employee training.

After the implementation of the project, it is expected to increase sales in foreign markets, establish new relations with foreign partners.

The project implementation period is 15 months.

Thanks to the project, UAB "Gandras Energoefectas" increased its awareness. It is expected that this will bring many benefits in promoting exports and finding reliable business partners. The total value of the project is LTL 30,480 excluding VAT investments, of which 50 percent. received in the form of EU structural support.
