Modernization of the electrical energy system in JSC "Visagino energija" wastewater pumping stations no. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
In 2022, JSC “Gandras energoefektas” won the tender of JSC “Visagino energija” to provide diesel generators to all sewage pumping stations of the Visaginas municipality.
In the scope of this project, the following works were performed:
- Technical-working project preparation;
- Installation of 5 diesel gensets 17kW to 56kW power; generators automatically turn on when power is lost in the network of the pumping station (ATS system);
- Generators are elevated with reinforced concrete supports to facilitate operation in high snow levels;
- Installation of frequency inverters to optimize the operation and power consumption of sewage pumps. This solution also helped to reduce the power and cost of new installed diesel generators;
- Start-up and adjustment of new installed diesel gensets;
- Generators installed in public places are equipped with protective anti-vandal barriers;
- All pumping stations and diesel gensets are provided with security alarms to protect against intrusion.
