Cyclons

Multi-cyclones are used to reduce solid particles from gas flue by using gravity settling. Multi-cyclones are usually mounted behind the boiler, which is burning solid fuel.

Multi-cyclones are welded steel sheet construction, which are mounted on the frame. Smoke flue gas is injected through the pipe between the body throw the exhaust pipe. Passing throw the unit “Rosette” blades gas parts starts to spin down, particulates which are flue gases of the elements together with the gas lowers the housing with a conical part. Because of this spiral vortex motion, decreases pressure inside the battery cyclones unit, that’s why gas flow in the lower part of the battery chamber changes its direction. Ashes are periodically or constantly removing.

There is a valve in the bottom part of the unit. In the upper part there are hatches, that can be used to monitor the inside surface of the cyclone, and to clean it.

• Solid parts quantity after multi-cyclone: ≤150 mg/Nm3
